The participation of the senior officials is expected to enrich discussions around taxation, trade facilitation, revenue mobilisation, capital market development, investor protection, insurance, financial regulation and investment.
The 2026 conference is themed: “Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Potential: Taxation, Industry, Insurance, Fintech, Trade & Investment as Catalysts for Nigeria’s $1 Trillion Vision.”
The event is expected to bring together policymakers, regulators, business leaders, investors, financial experts and media professionals to examine practical strategies for unlocking Nigeria’s economic potential and strengthening the business environment.
Several major institutions have confirmed participation, including the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Zenith Bank and Polaris Bank, among others.
According to the organisers, the broad institutional participation underscores the relevance of the conference to ongoing conversations around economic reforms, private-sector growth, digital transformation, financial inclusion, trade, taxation and investment.
The two-day event will feature high-level discussions, expert sessions and stakeholder engagement, providing a platform for policymakers, regulators and private-sector players to exchange ideas on building a more competitive and sustainable Nigerian economy.
The conference will climax with the FiBOP Awards, which will recognise individuals and organisations for notable contributions to economic development, business growth, financial services, capital market development, technology and other areas of national development.
Chairman of the Conference Organising Committee, Barnabas Esiet, said FiBOP was committed to delivering more than discussions, but creating a platform for meaningful engagement among the media, government, regulatory institutions and the private sector.
Esiet said the calibre of speakers and special guests confirmed for the conference reflects the association’s determination to facilitate informed conversations on issues shaping Nigeria’s economic future.
FiBOP President, Charles Onwuatogwu, expressed appreciation to the institutions and personalities that have confirmed their participation, noting that the presence of the NRS Executive Vice Chairman, Customs CG, SEC DG, NGX Group Chairman, CPPE CEO and NIA Director-General would add significant value to the conference.
He urged stakeholders across the financial and business ecosystem to anticipate two days of robust dialogue, networking and recognition of excellence as FiBOP continues to promote responsible business journalism and contribute to national economic development.
