Odukale, who heads the umbrella body for insurance and reinsurance companies in Nigeria, is expected to speak on issues around insurance penetration, financial inclusion, business sustainability, risk management and economic resilience.

Her participation is expected to bring an insurance-sector perspective to the conference, particularly with the conclusion of the recapitalization exercise intended to strengthen the companies and deepen insurance penetration in Nigeria

Appointed NIA Director-General/CEO in May 2024, Odukale has more than three decades of experience spanning insurance, insurance broking, pensions administration, executive management and corporate governance.

She began her career in 1991 with Nigerian Life and Pensions Consultants, where she rose to become Senior Manager, Production.

Odukale holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and an MBA from Lagos State University, Ojo.

She is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB).

Odukale has also served in leadership and advisory capacities with the West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA), the College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) and other industry bodies.

She has contributed to various national and industry initiatives, including the National Digital Invoicing and Financial Optimisation Strategy, the Insurance Sector Stability Sub-Committee and the Insurance Sector Committee on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

FiBOP said Odukale’s participation would add value to deliberations at the conference, describing her as one of the respected voices in Nigeria’s financial services sector.

The association said the conference is designed to promote dialogue on practical strategies for economic growth, enterprise development, investment and financial stability.
