The Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) has announced prominent leaders of key business and industrial organisations as major stakeholders expected to speak at its 2026 National Workshop and Award Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2026, at Protea Hotel, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

Among the distinguished industry leaders expected to share their perspectives at the event are the Director-General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Dr. Chinyere Almona; Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Segun Ajayi-Kadir; Director-General of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Sola Obadimu; and Founder and President of the Kosofe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Joe Femi-Dagunro.

Their expected participation underscores the importance of the workshop as a platform for constructive engagement among policymakers, manufacturers, organised private sector operators, business leaders and the media on issues affecting Nigeria’s industrial development and business environment.

In a press statement issued in Lagos and signed by its National Chairman, Comrade Taiwo Hassan and the Secretary-General, Comrade Olufemi Orioye, the four industry leaders are expected to bring their wealth of experience and institutional perspectives to discussions on the challenges confronting the manufacturing sector, the need to strengthen local production, improve the business climate, attract investment and promote sustainable industrial growth.

Their contributions are also expected to enrich conversations on the role of the organised private sector in driving economic diversification, creating employment opportunities, boosting exports, and positioning Nigerian businesses for greater competitiveness in the global market.

The 2026 CICAN National Workshop will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to examine emerging economic realities, exchange ideas, and identify practical strategies for addressing the challenges facing businesses and industries in the country.

The workshop will also feature an award ceremony to recognise individuals and organisations whose contributions have made significant impacts on Nigeria’s commerce, industry, and economic development.

The association expressed optimism that the participation of the business and industrial leaders would add considerable value to the workshop and strengthen collaboration between the media and the organised private sector.

The event is expected to attract government representatives, captains of industry, financial institutions, manufacturers, business executives, policymakers, and members of the media from across the country.
