The Company’s gross profit grew by 32 percent from N27.75billion to N36.50billion in the period under review. Commenting on the result, Ayman Fahmy Gaafar, Managing Director, Cadbury Nigeria, said the Company delivered sustainable growth despite the challenging operating environment in the country.

Cadbury Nigeria had announced the appointment of Dr. ’Doyin Salami as new Chairman in August this year, following the resignation of Mr. Adedotun Sulaiman. The Board also announced the appointment of Mrs. Uwa Osa-Oboh as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Dr Salami, who has led the Board of several companies, was Chief Economic Adviser to Nigeria’s former President Muhammadu Buhari, and earlier was Chairman of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council. Mrs. Osa-Oboh is a seasoned executive and currently serves as Head of Corporate Development at Capital Alliance Nigeria, a member of the African Capital Alliance (ACA) Group, one of Africa’s leading investment management firms.
Meanwhile, Cadbury Nigeria emerged top winner at this year’s Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) HR OSCARS held in Abuja recently. The Company won in three categories namely: Talent Acquisition; Adoption of Technology; and Employee Engagement and Internal Communication, where it achieved a perfect 100% score.

The HR OSCARS are hosted by the CIPM as part of its annual International Conference and Exhibition (ICE), and it is the largest gathering of HR professionals in Africa. The awards provide an independent external validation of best-in-class people practices. This recognition affirms that Cadbury Nigeria’s people practices are not only aligned with business strategy but are also genuine enablers of performance, culture, and employee experience.

The statement was issued by Frederick Mordi, the Company’s Head of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs.
