
A fire outbreak on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, disrupted activities at the headquarters of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) in Abuja.
The incident which occurred at the corporation’s head office complex, prompted an immediate emergency response and temporary suspension of operations.
Fire service personnel were swiftly deployed to the scene, where they worked to contain the blaze and secure the premises.
No lives were lost.
Authorities confirmed that firefighters acted promptly to extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of staff and other occupants within the building.
As a precautionary measure, activities within and around the headquarters were suspended following the outbreak. The corporation has not yet to disclose the cause of the fire or the extent of damage sustained.
In a statement signed by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Magdalene Omosimua, NAIC apologised to customers and tenants for any inconvenience resulting from the disruption.
The management expressed appreciation for stakeholders’ understanding and assured the public that normal operations would resume as soon as possible.
